Nestled at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains, the estate welcomed its first olive trees in 2007. Today, sixth-generation members of the Nel family are the custodians of this secluded gem, where Pieter Nel continues to nurture the olive groves against the dramatic backdrop of the Klein Karoo mountains.

The estate’s mountainous terroir is home predominantly to Frantoio olives, supported by Leccino and Mission, with smaller plantings of Manzanilla, Coratina, Koroneiki and Picual.

Pètra Extra Virgin Olive Oil is cold-extracted to preserve the natural aromas, flavours and character of the freshly harvested olives. The result is a beautifully balanced oil with fresh green notes and a gentle peppery finish.
