Our Story
Le Petit began with cheese, craftsmanship, and a love for little houses.
Although the name sounds French, the heart of the collection is proudly Dutch. The Le Petit logo is inspired by the Goudse Waag in Gouda – the historic Cheese Weighing House where cheese wheels were weighed and traded as far back as the 17th century.
That small house became more than a logo. It became a story.
A story of cheese, heritage, handmade craft, and beautiful objects that feel as special as the moments they are made for.

Each Le Petit piece is handmade with care by Dutch woodcrafter Wietse. His work is thoughtful, practical, and full of quiet charm – never overcomplicated, never rushed, and always made with purpose.
