A Small Story with Big Cheese Energy

Once upon a time, our cheese collection got a very French name.

Not because it came from France — but because, well… it sounded fancy. And cheese deserves a little flair.

The truth? This Le Petit Collection is Dutch to its core. Solid. Sensible. Sharp where it matters.

Look closely at the little house in our logo.

That’s the Goudse Waag in Gouda — the historic Cheese Weighing House, where cheese wheels were officially weighed and traded as far back as the 17th century. The  Goudse Waag in Gouda, was completed in 1668, and for centuries it was the place where farmers, traders, and very serious-looking cheese judges made sure every wheel was fair and square.

Naturally, we fell in love with it instantly.

You see, we have a not‑so‑secret obsession with little houses — especially the iconic KLM Delft Blue houses, those tiny porcelain treasures first introduced in 1952 and now coveted by collectors worldwide. One house led to another… and soon, a house became a logo, a logo became a story, and a cheese board and slicer needed a name worthy of both.

So here it is: A French‑named cheese serving collection, crafted by a Dutch maker, inspired by a centuries‑old cheese house, and designed by someone who simply couldn’t resist a tiny building with a big story.

Because great cheese deserves precision.

And a little charm never hurt anyone.
