Le Petit Butler is our bespoke engraving service, offering personalised engraving on selected Le Petit products, including: Le Petit Slice (Wooden Cheese Slicer), Le Petit Serve (Wooden Cheese Board) and Le Petit Lit (Wooden Candle Holder).
Simply upload your design during the ordering process, and we’ll carefully engrave it onto your chosen product to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

How It Works?
At Le Petit, we believe the most meaningful pieces are the ones that tell a story.
Step 1: Choose Your Product
Visit our shop and select your preferred product:
Step 2: Upload Your Design
On the product page, use the Upload Design file to submit your artwork or logo. We currently accept the following file formats:
Step 3: Customisation Fee Added
A flat fee of [R000] will automatically be added to the product price when you upload your design.
Step 4: Add To Cart
Your uploaded artwork and updated product price will be included in your cart for review before checkout.
Step 5: We Create Your Custom Piece
Once your order is received, our team will prepare your artwork for engraving and craft your personalised Le Petit product.
Artwork Guidelines
To achieve the best engraving results, please ensure your artwork meets the following requirements:
File Size
- Maximum file size: 2MB
- Larger files may not upload successfully
Image Quality
- Use the highest quality version of your artwork available
- Images should be sharp, clear, and easy to read
- Avoid blurry, distorted, or heavily compressed images
Resolution
- A minimum resolution of 300 DPI is recommended
- Low-resolution images may produce poor engraving results
Avoid Pixelation
- Images should not appear pixelated when viewed at full size
- Vector files (SVG) provide the best engraving quality whenever possible
Simple Design Works Best
- Clean lines and high-contrast artwork generally produce the most successful engravings
- Fine details, extremely thin lines, or small text may not engrave clearly
Logos & Text
- Ensure all text is legible and sufficiently sized
- Please check spelling, grammar, and artwork accuracy before uploading
Copyright & Permissions
By uploading artwork, you confirm that:
- You own the rights to the design, or
- You have permission to use the artwork provided
Le Petit cannot reproduce copyrighted material withouth the necessary permissions.
Important Notes
- Customised products are made specifically for your order
- Colours shown in uploaded artwork may not be reflected in the engraving, as engraving is produced directly into the material
- Engraving placement and sizing may be adjusted slightly to achieve the best possible result on the selected product
- If we identify any issues with your artwork, we may contact you before production begins
